Lawrence Earl "Larry" Skinner 66 of Court Ave, Weston passed away at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in the United Hospital Center Bridgeport following an extended illness.
He was born January 27, 1947 in Weston a son of the late Lawrence Edmond and Kathleen Calvert Skinner.
Surviving are one son, Larry E. Skinner II and wife Janelle, two grandchildren: Josh and Jaycie of Washington, WV; one brother, James N.C. Skinner of Weston and one sister, Barbara Skinner Joseph, of Chillicothe, OH; one niece, Allison Flynn; and one nephew, Stephen Joseph.
Larry was the owner and operator of Skinners Grill in Weston, working at the family business his grandfather, Pap Skinner, had started over 90 years ago He was an avid golfer, musician, and photographer who had a great sense of humor. He was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Weston.
Friends and family will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Road in Jane Lew from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Larry's request for cremation will then be honored and the family will have a private memorial at a later date.
